The automated type of interview

PMDU errand #6

I look out the window, seems like the usual morning routine that is. I washed myself and had breakfast before checking the bulletin board "wake up stormy, it's a good day to visit Fun" I told the sleeping fennekin that is still sleeping soundly with the plush. I head out to the bulletin board after breakfast to check on any new stuff going on. The latest is about researching some of those behaviors of the automated like pokemon such as magnemites, porygon and such things related to them. I head back to my room as I tried to wake him up until I remembered something he likes the most, Fun's breakfast hour. Persueing him with that in mind actually worked that I had a fitting exercise all the way to Fun's place.

Upon reaching his place, I had to treat myself to a cup of oran juice, "mornin you two" greeted the jolteon, our bud who runs this shop is always happy to see us around "good to see you two around, say, I need some help" he started as that grabbed my attention "lately, something really odd happened to my devices" he said as I patiently hear the story "my sprinklers gush out like a crazy fountain, my radio has been playing weird noises and now my coffee machine been playing on me by making me solve puzzles in binary code!" He complained while chopping the berries in a faster manner, probably to release those stress "sorry to like, release them on you two" he appologies us as I nodded, if I had those fancy gadget and somehow went crazy, I'm bound to go nuts.

Suddenly, the radio starts to go odd, playing noised like those of a broken machine "I think your stuff is being taken over by some automated  pokemon" I told him as I unplug the radio and brought it to the greenhouse "won't take long hopefully" I told him as I saw Firestorm followed me from behind. I gave the radio a shake and out comes a porygon, laughing about that sounds like those static noise "you must be the one playing tricks on our friend" I spoke, guessing that this digitized pokemon is the root of the problem.

The porygon nodded "affirmative! I would be the one who is disturbing him for five days, 10 hours and 30 minutes" it spoke as this opens more questions to ask "I find the coding of all hardware here anti-virus and free from trojans" it continued and that makes me lost a bit, especially the term 'trojans'. The porygon gave another digitized laughter as I pulled out a notebook to jot down my observation.

I brought the porygon over by the tea area of the greenhouse "so... umm... porygon sir, may I aquire some of your umm... stored intellegence while you're here?" I asked him, stuttering to fit their language as the porygon went into a language Firestorm and I can't tell "Firestorm, take over the interview, I'm finding something to somehow spark the interest" I told him as he simply nodded as he took the notepad and pencil from me.

I went into Fun's house to search something interesting "oh, hey Glitter, what're you looking for?" Via asked, Fun sister that is as I sat on one of the sofa.

I adjusted myself to get comfortable "I need a chess set if you have one that is" I told her as one came in levitating to my way "its all dusty, Via" I told her as she giggles on responce.

"The chess set is something Fun doesn't like to play, he brought along the trip and stash it away until I gave it a shot with somebody back at my place" she explained to me as I gave it a dust and thanked her before leaving the house. I got back to the tea area to find both of them laughing.

Firestorm is laughing like its the funniest joke in the world "oh thats a good one!" He spoke as he noticed my presence "oh, hey, just had fun joking around" he continued as I took the notepad that is now full of squigles "anyway, this porygon is a big fan of jokes, nerdy jokes that might crash us up" he said as I nodded, at least he didn't run off from the objective "oh, a chess set, I want to play a good round with the porygon, please" he pleaded as I gave him the chess set, those eyes of him are too hard to even reject! While he's busy, I have my paws on the results of the game he may be smatter than, but I have feelings he couldn't defeat a pokemon with the mind of endless possibilities I thought to myself as I waited for their friendly match to settle and boy it took half an hour to reach the checkmate "woah! I can't believe how intense a chess battle can be!" He burst in excitement as the porygon spoke in binary too fast I failed to get some useful bits of his speech to be given to Alexander for something. I jot down something in the notepad, seems that automated pokemon has some joy around intellectual games and puzzles too.

I kinda felt left out, I don't know what sort of things to talk about "porygon sir, is there anything you like to do during your free time?" I asked the porygon, joyfully stated about the whole puzzle solving and intellectual oriented games, sometimes... going around messing with machines nearby like radios and Fun's coffee machine to solve things in binary.

Something seems loose in the end "say, how do you communicate with other pokemon of your kind?" Asked Firestorm as he pushed a bowl of berry towards the porygon while he takes a sip of some tea.

The porygon looked about "communication between my evolutionary line can either be in binary or simply words" answered the porygon as it took a berry and then disappeared into thin air "not all of my kind can speak in binary, some speak in a complex language that is soundwave, mixture of sounds being modified into a new language" it continued as I took down notes of communication aspect of an automated pokemon, surely this will be a big open window for him to look into these kind of pokemon.

I wondered somehow "do you have a sibling somehow?" I asked the porygon as the porygon glowed a bit and suddenly went into a binary speech "I take that as a 'yes' then so where could he be?" I asked him again as a porygon-Z joined us from the radio the porygon came out from.

The porygon-Z spoke in binary which only puts me into the notepad to be given to Alexander for translation reason that is. Then, it gave its head a few knock and shook it a few times "greetings! I have executed a program to escape the radio with success!" It spoke joyfully as the porygon-Z floats closer to the porygon "minimize brother! I was not able to find you in that radio" it continued as I continued to write down more information seems like this kind of automated pokemon speaks either with normal speech or using some elements from a computer or machine I thought to myself as I cleared my throat for a moment.

"Sorry for interrupting, so, this is your lil brother?" I asked the porygon-Z and nodding seems like the answer obviously "so, what's your hobby?" I asked them as my pencil is ready for action.

"My free time is being loaded with books, fishing and spending time with minimize brother" the porygon-Z answered with a digitized chuckle it seems that these kind of pokemon like intellectual stuff along with something relaxing I thought to myself as I closed the notepad.

I poured some tea into porygon-Z's cup and enjoyed the time together "I'd like to thank you two alot for taking our survey, hopefully we know you alot better one day" I thanked them and once done, Firestorm and I guided them out Fun's parlor as Fun came running with a fishing pole to be given to the porygon-Z.

We head back to the guild issue housing, "well, looks like we're done for today" I told him as I took my time to write out the observation "you know, I find the interviewing interesting" I told him as he lazily sat on his bed and nodded "one starcoin for successfully completing it!" I announced with joy while writing out the report.

We then went on to search for Alexander to hand in our findings of the automation or something like that. It took us time to find him and once we found him, we handed the report over and hopefully we get a starcoin for helping out.
